The Macon County Fireman's Association assists our member Fire Deparments in Macon County in many different ways. Our efforts include:

  • Assist with the Western North Carolina Area Fire, Rescue, EMS & Law Enforcement College each September

  • Keep & Update Resource Manuals at each Macon County Fire Department

  • Work with Southwestern Community College to provide specialized training for area Fire Departments

  • Coordinate Fireman of the Year Banquet each April

Every year each Fire Deparment in Macon County selects a member who they feel has performed beyond the call of duty during the year.

In April, the Macon County Fireman's Association coordinates a dinner to honor these firemen and award them a plaque to honor their achievement.

This is our way to acknowlege the hard work of these outstanding members of Macon County's Volunteer Fire Deparments.
